Heads-Up! Things to Know Before Your Appointment

Sometimes we believe that makeup can work miracles on our skin — but the truth is, it doesn't. Makeup can enhance your natural beauty, highlight your best features, and even help conceal some imperfections, but it can't completely hide everything.

To get the best results and enjoy your appointment to the fullest, here are a few tips to help your makeup look flawless and your skin feel great:

1. Stay Hydrated (Inside and Out)

Hydration is key! Well-hydrated skin holds makeup better and looks more radiant. Make sure to:

  • Drink enough water in the days leading up to your appointment.

  • Use a good moisturizer as part of your skincare routine.

  • If possible, apply a serum that suits your skin type (hydrating, brightening, calming, etc.).

2. Wax or Thread Ahead of Time

If you plan to remove facial hair, do it at least 24–48 hours before your appointment. Freshly waxed or threaded skin can become irritated or react badly to makeup, especially if it’s sensitive.

3. Be Cautious with Peels

Chemical peels or exfoliating treatments should be done several days in advance — not the day before or same day. Peeling or flaky skin can ruin the final makeup look and make the skin more prone to irritation.

4. Consider Your Tan

If you’ve recently been tanning (especially using a tanning bed), your face and body might have different tones. Let your makeup artist know so they can match your foundation to your current skin tone and keep the result looking as natural as possible.

👉 Note: If your tan is natural (from sun exposure), try using calming and hydrating treatments beforehand to reduce any redness or sensitivity.

5. Come with a Fresh Face

Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin — preferably with just your usual moisturizer. This helps us work on a smooth canvas and makes the application process easier and cleaner.

We’ll be sharing more tips over time, but these are some of the key suggestions to make the most out of your appointment and enjoy every moment of it!
